Wild Game & Fish Dinner for Men & Boys

Halford to speak at Bartlett Hills Baptist Church Wild Game Dinner
Saturday, February 18, 2012
6 p.m.

Chuck Halford, a past president of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association and Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association, will be the featured speaker when Bartlett Hills Baptist Church, 4641 Ellendale Road, hosts its annual Wild Game Fish Dinner for Men and Boys on Feb. 18 at 6 p.m.

Dr. Halford, who has practiced in the Memphis area for more than 30 years, is the owner of Walnut Grove Animal Clinic and a member/deacon at Independent Presbyterian Church and a life-long sportsman with a passion for duck hunting. He is a member of the Tennessee Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and part of FEMA’s Urban Search and Rescue Tennessee Task Force 1 Team Veterinarian.

Living on a farm in north Shelby County, Dr. Halford says he enjoys “reaping the benefits” of good country living.
“We have horses and chickens and plenty of opportunity to see what God has created for our joy and His revelation,” Dr. Halford says. “I enjoy hunting and fishing and riding horses and just about anything else you can imagine. I have a passion for sharing how God is glorified in the midst of his natural world and encouraging men as they mature in their faith becoming better husbands and fathers. Hunting and fishing is a great way to make those kinds of connections.”

Tickets are $10 for adults; children under 12 are free. Also, anyone who brings a wild game dish will get in free. There will be an abundance of door prizes, including handmade duck and turkey call.  .
