Our Children's Ministry is geared for elementary grades 1- 6.  We have weekly activities, as well as, a Sports Program and Yarbourgh School of Music.  Our bi-monthly newsletter, KNOW and GROW, which keeps parents updated on the different programs.  It includes all our upcoming special events and sign-up dates for the Sports Program.  If you would like to be added to that mailing list please send your name and address to Kathy Hogel, Children's Minister at kathy@bartletthills.net.

Our weekly programing include the following:

Worship KidStyle
We offer the 1st grade through 4th grade a Children's Worship experience.  Children will need to sit with their parents in the Morning Worship Service (9:30 AM) until the "Welcome Time."   At that time, they are dismissed to join us in the Fellowship Hall for a time of worship and study.  This time will closely resemble a worship service and use creative video to teach lessons and songs.  We will pray, collect an offering, learn and apply Bible knowledge, study a key Bible verse and hear Bible Stories.  The lessons are an expansion of the Bible Fellowship (Sunday School) material to help reinforce learning.

Bible Fellowship
Our Bible Fellowship hour follows our Worship Service.  Bible Fellowship begins at 11 AM.  All the children who attend Worship KidStyle will be escorted to their Bible Fellowship Classrooms before the Worship Service is dismissed.  Security is a high priority for our Children's Ministry.  All children in 1st thru 4th grade just be picked up by a parent (or the adult who brought them to church) at the conclusion of their Bible Fellowship Hour (12 noon.)  Parents can make arrangements with the teachers to have the student dismissed to an older sibling.

Awana Clubs
Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and is a nondenominational ministry committed to "reaching boys and girls with the gospel of Christ."  The mission of Awana is to assist local churches around the world in communicating to children the good news that Jesus Christ loves them and can save them from sin.  That is why Awana offers a series of clubs and programs geared to the needs of a particular age or grade.

The Clubs we offer are Cubbies (3 and 4 yr olds,) Sparks (kindergarten thru 2nd grade) and T&T (3rd thru 6th grade.)  The evening is divided into three categories.  Game time focuses on teamwork and respect as we play games around a circle, Handbook time is for quoting and memorizing Bible verse to your leaders for points, and Council Time is applicable teaching of God's Word.

Children's Choir
Our children gather to learn the fundamentals of music.  The choir teachers introduce the children to reading music, rhythm and harmony.  But they also include teaching the importance of praise and worship.  The choirs perform twice during the school year, and during the summer they put together a musical performance.  The musical includes speaking roles, sets, costumes and choreographed routines.  The children look forward to putting on their "big show."
