Purpose: Loving God, loving people, serving the world, reaching people.
Process (How we seek to accomplish this purpose within
the framework of student ministry):
Love God- Primetime on Wednesday nights at 6:15 seeks to introduce students to
Christ and lead students to fall in love with Christ through student led worship and biblically
centered messages.
Love People- Sunday Morning Bible Study (8:15am or 11:00am) is designed to develop
peer relationships while studying the Scriptures in age graded small groups. This is one
of the best ways for a student to get connected with our student ministry.
Serve the World- We seek to provide many different opportunities for service and
ministry. Students may minister using creative arts and music through Rush Hour which
meets in the fellowship hall on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 pm (led by Stephen St. Clair).
Students may take part in various service projects that are offered throughout the year
such as yard raking, soup kitchens, etc. Also, we provide week long opportunities for
service such as World Changers and Home Mission Weeks.
Reach People- We seek to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ in a number
of ways. First, we offer helpful training to students periodically with the GOSPEL journey.
We also teach a pray, pursue and persuade strategy for reaching out to friends and fellow
students at school. No one can reach our middle and high school campuses better than
students. It is an exciting thing to watch students begin to take sharing their faith seriously.
In the early spring, we take our high schoolers to the Dare2Share conference (in St. Louis)
for a special weekend of intense training and hands on evangelism experience.
Throughout the year, we go into the neighborhoods surrounding the church to spread
the light of Jesus. We do this by attaching a spiritual meaning to an object as simple
as a light bulb so that people may at least have an introduction to Christ
and to Bartlett Hills Baptist Church.

Parents
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."

Parents, God has placed you in the unique position as the primary disciplers of your teenage son or daughter. With that in mind, BHBC Student Ministry seeks to be a resource and supplement to you. We are seeking to grow in the ways that we provide you with a firm biblical support in the special calling that you have from God. Here are some of the opportunities available to you:
BHBC student ministries has implemented a plan to connect the church and the home in the teenagers discipleship process. This strategy is called "Legacy Milestones" and was designed by Brian Haynes. For a detailed explanation, see www.legacymilestones.com
